为了出席机器人学校的同学会，哆啦A梦来到了22世纪，偶然遇到「银河赛车大会」的明星车手，德彭，却被误认为是狸猫，还嘲笑哆啦A梦的外貌。失落的哆啦A梦为了做出猫咪的外表，试了好多种方法却都失败，而不知情的大雄等人也嘲笑了他，哆啦A梦终于忍不住而冲出房间……。不知为何这时大雄突然收到「银河赛车大会」的邀请函。大雄一听到如果赢了这场比赛，就能得到任何想要的东西，就帮自己和哆啦A梦报名了。然而，银河赛车大会是利用「任意门」之类的超空间大门，在星际间奔驰的严苛竞赛，每年不断有人因此受伤，是个极危险的比赛。大雄得知此事后毫不退却，仍坚定地说「一定要参加！」。而后，大赛终于要开始了，但……！？
