接下来的庭审揭露出更多的事实：王贵平杀死船长后，让学海事的林宇开船，林宇不会，越开越远。与此同时，郑夺和齐文静、胡白密谋打算制服王贵平，不料几乎出错，郑夺借机让王贵平误会是胡白在背后搞鬼，胡白被王贵平残忍杀死。胡白死后，王贵平精神愈发不正常，郑夺等人发现他随身携带的旅行包里竟然是大把大把的赃款。郑夺想要侵吞那些赃款，于是说服齐文静和林宇，以保命为由，打算趁王贵平睡觉时将他杀死，谁知王贵平是装睡，四人发生打斗，最终郑夺三人联手将王贵平捅杀在甲板上，一人一刀。王贵平临死之前，奋力把那袋赃款扔下了大海，谁也没有得到那袋钱。王贵平死后，郑夺要求林宇和齐文静把所有证据丢下大海，并一起编排了一整套故事来为他们三人脱罪。林宇一开始说谎，就是因为害怕自己杀了人被判死刑，齐文静说谎则是因为郑夺答应帮她隐瞒杀死丈夫刘凯的事实，于是二人在郑夺的主导下，编造谎言、合伙串供。
