Arriving in Hollywood, Lucy and the Mertzes go star-hunting at the Brown Derby restaurant. While there, Ethel has an interaction with Eve Arden, while Lucy annoys William Holden by staring at him from behind a potted plant and then accidentally getting him hit in the face with a pie. Ricky later meets Holden and brings him to their hotel room to meet Lucy, who must avoid being recognized.
