Niedergeschlagen verlässt Ilse Ploth die Sparkasse. Sie hat ihr Konto um einige Tausend Mark überzogen und weiß nicht, wie sie die Schulden tilgen soll. Von ihrer Mutter bekommt sie keinen Rat, aber den Auftrag, am Hinterausgang des nahen, kleinen Postamts einen Staubsauger abzuholen. Die Spielzeugpistole ihres Sohnes und die Perücken ihrer Mutter bringen Ilse auf eine verwegene Idee. Sie beschließt, in der Mittagspause das Postamt zu überfallen und sie hat Glück!
