Καθώς βρίσκεται για διακοπές στο Βερολίνο, η αυστραλή φωτορεπόρτερ Κλερ συναντά τον Άντι, έναν χαρισματικό ντόπιο, και μεταξύ τους αναπτύσσεται άμεσα μια φλόγα. Αυτό που ακολουθεί είναι μια νύχτα πάθους. Αλλά αυτό που φαίνεται να είναι το ξεκίνημα ενός ρομάντζου, ξαφνικά παίρνει μια απροσδόκητη τροπή, όταν το επόμενο πρωί η Κλερ ανακαλύπτει ότι ο Άντι έχει φύγει για τη δουλειά και την έχει κλειδώσει στο διαμέρισμα. Θα μπορούσε να είναι ένα απλό λάθος, όμως ο Άντι δεν έχει σκοπό να την αφήσει να βγει ποτέ.
