Ο μικρός Τόμι Γούντρι λέει συνεχώς ψέματα. Γι' αυτό το λόγο όταν βλέπει το ζεύγος Κέλερσον να δολοφονεί ένα μεθυσμένο ναύτη, κανείς δεν τον πιστεύει. Οι Κέλερσον όμως ανησυχούν και προσπαθούν να σωπάσουν μια και καλή τον Τόμι.
